King of Cibao Castle. Join me on my journey as I try to tackle the beast named “Backlog”. Hopefully, before this century is over I will vanquish it. But never fear, I will also be throwing in modern games once in a while. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy it all.
I’m a variety streamer, looking to get out of my daily rut of the 9 to 5 and help part-timers, parents, and anyone else on Twitch maximize what little free time they have to stream and relish it.
Before Twitch existed, before Justin.tv, before YouTube and Let’s Plays were a thing. When games were still in 8-bit I have loved them. I could never even imagine my hobby would not only become accepted it would grow into a worldwide phenomenon. I’ve been mostly into RPGs and racing games but I’ll be playing games from other genres as well. I can’t stick to one game for too long.
I’m a father of two amazing kids, a great wife, a full-time employee, and a part-time college student. And now I have joined the wonderful family that is Twitch streamers.
My current schedule is Friday nights and soon I’ll be streaming with my brothers and family Saturday nights. There will be special streams from time to time. Follow me on social media for when those will be going down.
Cibao Castle
Once a farfetched idea with no real name. Now it is clear and has become a reality. A man is considered a king and his wife his queen. By extension his children the princesses and princes, future rulers of the kingdom and others. Then one looks at his home and it is no regular home. It is his castle. However, you realize it is not just YOUR home. It is the home of your family, extended family, close friends, or even strangers who eventually become friends and family.
I wanted to create not a persona, or an extension of myself but a place where people like myself didn’t have growing up. A place outside of your own home where you felt safe and were with like-minded individuals sharing a common bond. Thus, Cibao Castle was born.
I chose the name Cibao due to my roots. I’m a second-generation Dominican born and raised in New York City. Cibao is what the northern region of the country is called by the locals. You won’t find it on a traditional map. Mention it to any Dominican or anyone familiar with the country will know what you are talking about. My whole extended family was either born there or has a parent from there. They are hardworking but humble people who tend to the land and if there is food on the table, clothes on their back, and a roof over the heads they know it was a good day.
Cibao Castle embodies the humbleness of its people and the love and upbringing my parents have taught me. I hope to share that with all of you through my love of videogames.
